Adolfo Henriques
A longtime transformational cultural leader and tireless champion for the arts, Adolfo Henriques has been a prominent banker and is now the Vice Chairman of The Related Group, but he’s best known in the cultural community as the record-breaking Chairman of the Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Council. For ten years, he worked as Council Chairman, on behalf of artists, arts groups and cultural institutions, engaging elected officials with the passion, persuasion and the power of personality that he brings to everything he does to advocate for effective cultural policies and increased support for the County’s arts budget. His generous spirit is present in his involvement with many of Miami-Dade County’s leading civic organizations, as evidenced by the numerous national and local awards he has received. Henriques was the recipient of the 2018 Jay Malina Award from the Miami-Dade Beacon Council, the Sand in My Shoes award from the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, the Silver Medallion from the MCCJ and the Woodrow Wilson award for Corporate Citizenship. A powerful voice in arts advocacy locally, statewide and nationally, Adolfo Henriques has contributed his well-deserved reputation for outstanding public service and unfailing integrity to “super power” the cultural agenda for Miami-Dade County and continues to inspire us to reach new heights in creating more cultural opportunities of the highest caliber for all the children and families of Miami-Dade County.
