Deborah Hoffman

Founding President of Funding Arts Network and Partners for Arts and Design, Deborah Hoffman is a longtime community volunteer and civic activist, with a passion to make a difference in our community. Numerous organizations in Miami-Dade have been touched by her leadership, expertise and philanthropic support over the past decades. She has jump-started important organizations that support the Miami arts scene, including the Funding Arts Network, which has provided more than $6 million in grants to local visual and performing arts groups since 1996; and Partners for Arts and Design, formed in 2008. Hoffman currently serves on the Board, Emeritus, of Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and the New World School of the Arts Foundation Board. She is the founder of the former South Florida Association of Nonprofit Arts Funders (SFA). Deborah and her husband, Larry, with their shared interest in arts, supported the “Hoffman Forums,” bringing one day symposiums to NYC, in connection with the Aspen Institute Artist-Endowed Foundation

Initiative, held at the Museum of Modern Art, the Whitney Museum, PS1, the Morgan Library and the Jewish Museum. Presently Hoffman Forums are being developed at the University of Miami School of Law through the EASL (Entertainment, Arts & Law) program. Currently a pro bono nonprofit consultant, she actively helps to spark new programs and nonprofits. Recipient of many awards, Deborah received the Philanthropy Miami Community Champion in 2016 for “her longtime advocacy and support of arts and programs for women and girls,” and, in 2018, she received the Knight Arts Champion Award for playing a “key role in building South Florida’s rich and diverse cultural community.” Other accolades include: National Philanthropy Day honoree; Red Cross Spectrum Award for Women; and Florida Association for Women Lawyers, Fund-Raiser of the Year.” Debi has four children, ten grandchildren (two are married) and four great-grandchildren.
