Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist will assist the Marketing and Sales department by translating and integrating business and department objectives into successful digital/online marketing solutions.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Leverage knowledge of graphic design to conceptualize and create online, multimedia, and print marketing collateral, including web promotions, promotional fliers, presentations, graphics, HTML emails, online ads, signage, etc.
  • Design and administer creative, sales-driven, accurate, targeted, and effective email marketing campaigns using various software tools (HTML editors, iContact, DreamWeaver, query-builders, Excel, etc.)
  • Provide email campaign effectiveness reports, metrics, and analyses
  • Manage placement of images, copy, promotions, and multimedia to websites as needed
  • Knowledge of basic backend website functionality
  • Work closely with marketing, sales, ticketing services, IT and external vendors to coordinate implementation of new website functions
  • Maintain and manage the Marketing Department's electronic image storage library.
  • Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:
  • Thorough understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, with expertise in PhotoShop, Illustrator and DreamWeaver
  • Expert knowledge of the fundamentals of layout and design, with a professional eye for font, color, and other design elements
  • Ability to apply image optimization techniques with common file formats (pdf, gif, jpeg, tiff, eps, etc)
  • Experience using HTML text. visual editors, CSS and knowledge of javascript
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of marketing concepts and strategies.
  • Knowledge of database concepts (relational databases, query-building)
  • Able to communicate effectively at the corporate level, both verbal and written, in English.

Required education and experience:

BA/BS: Computer Information Services, Management Information Services, Graphic D preferred or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
