Teaching Artist- Hop Hop Dance Teacher

The Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking creative and dynamic Teaching Artists for part-time, seasonal, freelance opportunities. We are looking for qualified dance teachers to teach weekly classes in hip hop, facilitate workshops and provide arts instruction for the Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center. Classes are offered to students ages 3 years old – adults. Please specify what fields(s) and age group(s) you are most qualified to teach. “The Broward Center’s education programs are reaching new heights as learning through the arts comes alive in the new Rose Miniaci Arts Education Center. The facility, which opened in the fall of 2014, houses classrooms and a coaching studio, integrated technologies for distance learning and the JM Family Studio for teaching, rehearsals, recitals and intimate performances”.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Experience teaching dance (required)
  • 3+ years combination of training and experience working as a Teaching Artist
  • Strong dedication to established work commitments
  • Ability to develop lesson plans and curriculum outlines for classes taught
  • Commitment to providing high quality dance education with focus on skills building and content.
  • Strong collaborator and team player
  • Ability to work evenings, night shifts, split shifts, week-ends, and some holidays.
