For the past fifteen years Garry Novick served as the Director of Guest Services at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, one of the premier performing arts facilities in the Southeast.

While in that role Garry was responsible for all front of house operations, oversight of our volunteer corps numbering more than 1400, and creating an outstanding customer service experience for all our guests. For the past two years Garry has assumed a similar role at Parker Playhouse, a Broward Center managed venue.

A native of Philadelphia, Garry relocated to Fort Lauderdale in 1998 bringing with him a lifetime of valuable customer service tradition. He has maintained a focus on increasing services for people with disabilities and our aging population. He has championed the Center’s access initiatives by implementing open captioned performances, audio described performances, touch tours and dance workshops. Additionally, large print and Braille materials are offered going beyond the Center’s existing access services.

As an inspired leader, Garry has shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with others in the industry, encouraging them to become aware of and involved with initiatives that make cultural experiences inclusive to all.

Garry has partnered with local and state agencies to help promote access throughout the State of Florida and is the recipient of local and national awards for finding opportunities to expand accessibility. He is a founding member of the Florida Access Coalition for the Arts.
