John Paul Jebian, Ed.S, also known as JP, is an American Sign Language (ASL) teacher at G. Holmes Braddock High in Miami Dade County Public School. He was Teacher of the Year for 2007-2008 and made Region V Teacher of the Year. He was honored by Parent to Parent Miami for Educational Leadership in 2010.  Also, He was Champion for Children Award Nominee at The Children’s Trust 2015. He teaches ASL to families through the Parent Academy. He is a part-time Professor at Miami Dade College North for the Sign Language Interpretation program. He has tutored deaf children through the Deaf Family Literacy Academy, funded through Barbara Bush Family Literacy foundation. He is the president of  Waving Hands, Inc (non-profit organization 501© 3), a brand-new organization geared to the Deaf community. He does storytelling at local festivals, such as All Kids Included Festival and Miami Book Fair International, libraries, and others. He was an actor through National Theatre of the Deaf. He has acted in various productions on commercials, stage, TV, and others. He was co-Shadow Director for A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Love of Three Oranges, Hamlet Redux and Property Line.
