Cultural Grants Workshop for Arts Groups, Artists, and Nonprofit Community Organizations

This session introduces the County’s arts grant portfolio to arts organizations, community nonprofit organizations producing cultural arts projects, individual artists, and artist collectives. Attendees will receive an overview of our funding programs to learn which grant opportunities may be the best fit for their cultural arts projects. An interactive Q & A session will follow the workshop presentation. Questions may be addressed in English, Spanish, or Haitian Creole. ADA/accessible accommodations are available.

Art projects that are supported include those that:
- demonstrate strong community involvement;
- include an outreach component that promotes inclusion and equitable access to the arts;
- focus on delivering cultural services to underserved populations and/or under-resourced neighborhoods;
- have the potential to generate tourism;
- encourage the preservation of heritage, traditions, and culture: and,
- involve collaborative intervention projects rooted in the arts developed by social service organizations and cultural groups.
Arts groups, cultural organizations, community nonprofit organizations, individual artists and artist collectives are invited to attend these free workshops about Miami-Dade County's cultural grants programs. Learn how to apply for arts funding and which grants programs may be the right fit for your cultural project.
Cultural Affairs staff will provide information about the competitive funding opportunities for nonprofit arts groups and artists as well as other helpful resources available for the cultural community.

Artist Access (ART) Grants Program
Funded by Miami-Dade County in partnership with FUNDarte, the Artist Access (ART) Grant Program supports practicing professional artists residing in Miami-Dade County by funding career-advancing professional development opportunities, including workshops, residencies, master classes, conferences, and arts leadership or teaching artist training programs offered in-person or virtually. Applicants must demonstrate the opportunity's potential impact on their artistic growth and career advancement. Project-based presentations, degree or certification programs, touring engagements, and related production expenses are not eligible for funding, and awarded artists must wait one year before reapplying.
FY 2025-2026 Fourth Quarter
Application Deadline: Monday, June 1, 2026, 11:59 pm

Art in Public Places - Calls to Artists
Upland Park, Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works
Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs' Art in Public Places Program (APP) and Miami-Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works, with partners including Terra Group, request qualifications for artists to be considered to make full proposals to create new artworks at Upland Park. A game-changing step forward in transit-oriented design, Upland Park is Miami-Dade’s largest mixed-use Transit-Oriented Community (TOC) rising alongside the Dolphin Park and Ride Metrobus Station in west Miami-Dade.
The selected artist(s) will develop proposals for unique artwork applications that will contribute to the identity of the facility and engage employees, visitors and passers-by in unexpected and delightful ways. Each shortlisted artist will receive an honorarium and support to develop a proposal.
Request for Qualifications Deadline: Monday, May 11, 2026, 11:59 pm
Eligibility: Open to professional visual artists based in the USA.
Budget: $2,150,000.00 / Multiple commissions envisioned.

South Florida Artist Registry
Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs' Art in Public Places (APP) program requests for qualifications for professional visual artists to submit work samples to be considered for the 2026 Artists Registry Shortlist. Artists in this preselected Registry may be invited to participate in project-specific shortlists and to create proposals for one or more opportunities in a specific Art in Public Places project. Resulting artwork(s) will contribute to the identity of diverse facilities across Miami-Dade County and engage employees, visitors and passers-by in unexpected and delightful ways.
Request for Qualifications Deadline: Monday, May 18, 2026, 11:59 pm
Eligibility: South Florida-based artists.
Budget: $50,000 - $200,000

Miami-Dade 250 invites community organizations, cultural institutions, educational partners, municipalities, and residents to submit events for consideration as part of the County’s 2026 commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Events should take place in 2026 and reflect the goals of Miami-Dade 250 by encouraging historical reflection, civic engagement, education, cultural expression, or community connection tied to our national story and Miami-Dade County’s local contributions.

GMCVB Explore Miami Deals Program
You are invited to participate in the brand new Explore Miami Deals Program! Explore Miami runs from April 1 - May 31, 2026, and spotlights Greater Miami & Miami Beach's wide variety of attractions, museums, and all there is to explore in our destination. The two-month-long program invites visitors and locals to explore museums, cultural institutions, action parks, and outdoor wonders, while garnering excitement and awareness for partners and offerings.
We are asking our partners to register and submit special offers ranging from BOGO deals, admission savings, and more.
The GMCVB supports awareness of the program with marketing dollars towards a robust media plan that includes multi-channel connections across nearly three months with a great mix of partners for print, digital, outdoor, social media, and search.
A formal press release announcing the program and participants will be distributed to media in March, with dedicated outreach throughout the length of the program.

Marshall L. Davis, Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center presents Revelations In Rhythm
Friday, May 15 and Saturday, May 16, 2026 at 7:00 pm
Revelations In Rhythm will be presented May 15 & 16, 2026, at the Marshall L. Davis Sr. African Heritage Cultural Arts Center. The production honors the legacy of tap dance legends, with a special tribute to Bill "Bojangles" Robinson. His artistry shaped the evolution of tap, rooted in the sacred traditions and music created by Black individuals during enslavement, serving as a powerful form of spiritual practice and praise.
