Talbert, III has been a tireless advocate for our tourism, cultural and business interests, using his worldwide platform to further Greater Miami’s position as a global gateway, the Cruise Capital of the World, and among the world’s busiest international airports. A highly respected civic leader and former President & CEO of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau, Mr. Talbert dedicated his professional efforts for more than 30 years to spearheading Greater Miami’s meteoric rise as a world-class destination and leading global travel brand. He has been a steadfast champion for Greater Miami, working to build consensus and emphasize the critical role tourism plays in a resilient economy. Mr. Talbert’s leadership significantly impacted Miami-Dade’s cultural and tourism industries. Over more than 30 years, he elevated Miami as a global destination, promoting the region's cultural diversity and arts scene. He championed initiatives like the GMCVB’s Multicultural Tourism and Development Department, which highlighted Miami’s diverse heritage neighborhoods and arts communities. Mr. Talbert also helped secure major cultural events for Miami, including Super Bowls and the U.S. Travel Association’s IPW, which brought global attention to the City’s cultural offerings. His work not only bolstered tourism but also supported Miami-Dade’s arts programs, contributing to the region's economic and cultural vitality. Mr.
