Patricia Williams

Pat Williams is a proud native of Miami, where she developed a profound passion for the arts and storytelling. She graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Theater and Journalism, fields that shaped her career in the performing arts. After returning to Miami, Pat became involved with the Theatre of Afro Arts and later expanded her professional journey with Florida’s oldest Black theater company, M Ensemble Company, performing in numerous productions and serving as a Stage Manager. An exceptional cultural leader, her expertise was further refined through mentorship from industry legends Ruth Foreman and Joe Adler. Beyond the stage, Pat has made significant contributions to community service, including 25 years as Youth Program Director at the YWCA of Greater Miami, where she integrated arts and cultural programming. After retiring, Pat focused on the growth of M Ensemble, overseeing all technical aspects, production and fundraising efforts, ensuring its continued success in the Miami arts community. Her outstanding dedication to local artists and artistic excellence has earned her many achievement awards for her numerous contributions to the theater in South Florida, including a Knight Foundation Challenge Award.
