Suzanne Delehanty
In 1995, Suzanne Delehanty arrived in Miami to become the director of the Center for the Fine Arts, which, under her outstanding stewardship, became the Miami Art Museum (MAM). It is now a flagship art museum, now known as the Jorge M. Pérez Art Museum of Miami-Dade County (PAMM). Suzanne brilliantly transformed MAM over the course of a decade, establishing a permanent collection devoted to global modern and contemporary art and the largest art education program in South Florida. She played a leading role in securing 30 acres of derelict waterfront for Museum Park and $100 million in funding from Miami-Dade County for a new facility, later designed by renowned architects Herzog & de Meuron. A visionary cultural leader, Suzanne continues to be committed to arts and education in Florida.
