The Community Grants program supports cultural programs, projects and events, such as fairs, parades and neighborhood festivals. The program funds arts projects with strong community involvement and/or outreach component and is particularly sensitive to the needs of indigenous cultural neighborhood activities and projects encouraging the preservation of heritage, traditions and culture, as well as social service organizations and cultural groups developing collaborative intervention projects using the arts.

Tourist Development Grants Program (TDC)

The Tourist Development Council grants program provides support to nonprofit and for-profit organizations presenting significant cultural or special events, including sports activities and television and film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination.

The Miami Foundation

Miami Open For Business

Deadline May 31, 2023


The Miami Foundation launched the Miami Open for Business program, fueled by a $20 million grant from Wells Fargo. The Foundation’s largest grant program to date supports historically underserved minority-led small businesses and nonprofits and provides between $100-$20K ​ through funding and loans to purchase hardware, software, machinery, and equipment.   Apply here.



Florida Department of State - Division of Arts & Culture

Arts & Culture Grant Program Applications

June 21, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. EST


Applications for the FY2024-2025 General Program Support, Specific Cultural Projects, Cultural Facilities, and Cultural Endowment State Matching Share grant programs must be submitted online using the Department of State Grants System. The applications are open and the deadline for application submission is on June 21, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern.

All project activities must be in strict accordance with all applicable federal and state laws. Grant activities that do not demonstrate compliance with federal or state laws will not be funded.

Guidelines for A&C grant programs are available on the Florida Department of State’s Division of Arts & Culture website. You may also request guidelines via email at DACgrants@dos.myflorida.com or by phone at (850) 245-6470.

The guidelines for the FY2024-2025 General Program Support and Specific Cultural Project grant programs listed deadline dates are incorrect. The correct deadline is June 21, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. EST

Submit your upcoming exhibits, performances and/or events to be part of the Cultural Calendar of Events on MiamiandMiamiBeach.com. Take advantage of this free listing opportunity to promote your programs and reach residents and visitors to Miami-Dade County.

GMCVB Partners can easily add events through the Partner Extranet for approval. Cultural events can also be emailed directly to calendar@gmcvb.com.

Event description – Brief 600-word description of the event. Do not copy descriptions that are already being used on the web. Submit only original content.
