Youth Arts in the Parks an “All Kids Included” - Accessible Arts Experience for Kids

Join the Fall 2014 Art or Creative Expression Club!

WHO: Children and youth with and without disabilities, ages 6-17 (youth with disabilities welcome up to age 22)

WHAT: Have fun, make friends, make art, get creative!

WHERE: Three locations

WHEN: Orientation (and payment due):  10 am, September 6, 2014; Classes:  9:30 am – 11 am, Saturdays:  September 13 – December 13, 2014

About:  Youth Arts in the Parks is presented by Miami-Dade County Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Disability Services and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with Arts for Learning and Project AWWOL - A World WithOut Labels.  Youth Arts in the Parks is an inclusive, socially-oriented arts program for children and youth with and without disabilities. No prior art or creative expression experience is required.  This fun and educational program teaches kids of all abilities visual arts or creative expression in a social setting, led by professional artists/art teachers, certified instructors and disability experts.

Space is Limited! Registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Submitting a registration form does not guarantee a spot in the program.  Priority consideration will be given to students from the Youth Arts in the Parks waiting list.  Only forms that are fully completed will be accepted.

Registration Deadline:  All registration forms must be received by Tuesday, September 2, 2014 for priority consideration.

Program fees (to be collected at the orientation):  First child - $40; Siblings - $20. Students qualifying for free/reduced lunch (with proof) - $20.
