Court Victory Advances the Coconut Grove Playhouse Project

On April 7, 2021, the Appellate Division of the Circuit Court of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit approved Miami-Dade County’s Coconut Grove Playhouse appeal of the City of Miami Mayor’s veto of the County’s final historic preservation Certificate of Appropriateness for the Coconut Grove Playhouse project. It is important to note that this victory clears the way for the County’s plan for the Coconut Grove Playhouse project to move forward. Please click here to see the Court’s opinion.

Miami-Dade Tourist Development Council solicits nominations to fill board vacancies

The Miami-Dade Tourist Development Council is soliciting nominations to fill vacancies on the board. Individuals meeting the qualifications and interested in the volunteer advisory board should submit a cover letter and resume via email to the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs, attention Nikenna Benjamin,  Nikenna.Benjamin@miamidade.gov by Monday, April 15, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.
