Introduction to Miami-Dade County Arts Grants Workshop
Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at 11:00 am
This session introduces the County’s arts grant portfolio to arts organizations, community nonprofit organizations producing cultural arts projects, individual artists, and artist collectives. Attendees will receive an overview of our funding programs to learn which grant opportunities may be the best fit for their cultural arts projects. An interactive Q & A session will follow the workshop presentation. Questions may be addressed in English, Spanish, or Haitian Creole. ADA/accessible accommodations are available.

Art projects that are supported include those that:
- demonstrate strong community involvement;
- include an outreach component that promotes inclusion and equitable access to the arts;
- focus on delivering cultural services to underserved populations and/or under-resourced neighborhoods;
- have the potential to generate tourism;
- encourage the preservation of heritage, traditions, and culture: and,
- involve collaborative intervention projects rooted in the arts developed by social service organizations and cultural groups.
Arts groups, cultural organizations, community nonprofit organizations, individual artists and artist collectives are invited to attend these free workshops about Miami-Dade County's cultural grants programs. Learn how to apply for arts funding and which grants programs may be the right fit for your cultural project.
Cultural Affairs staff will provide information about the competitive funding opportunities for nonprofit arts groups and artists as well as other helpful resources available for the cultural community.

South Florida Cultural Consortium Grant to Visual & Media Artists - Now Accepting Applications
Artists interested in applying for the South Florida Cultural Consortium's Visual and Media Artists Grant Program are encouraged to attend one of several upcoming online workshops. The program awards grants of $7,500 and $15,000 to visual and media artists residing in Broward, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties.
The workshops will provide an overview of the application process, explain how applications are reviewed, and offer tips for strengthening submissions. Attendance to at least one workshop is required to apply.

Oolite Arts Open Calls 2027 Artist Opportunities - Now Accepting Applications
Applications are now open for Oolite Arts' 2027 programs, including The Ellies Awards, Studio Residency, Home + Away Residency, and Cinematic Residency. Designed for South Florida artists and filmmakers, these opportunities offer funding, studio space, mentorship, professional development, and residency experiences both locally and abroad. Interested applicants can learn more through upcoming Oolite Arts information sessions and workshops.

The Literary Arts Fund has opened applications for its Innovation Project Grant program, which will award grants ranging from $25,000 to $100,000 to support forward-thinking projects that strengthen literary arts organizations and their ability to serve creative writers.

Miami-Dade 250: Our County, Our Country Art Competition
Tell your piece of Miami-Dade's story with art! As we celebrate America's 250th anniversary, Miami International Airport and American Airlines are inviting residents of all ages to submit artwork inspired by "We Are America: Miami's Role in the Nation's History."
Your artwork could be displayed at one of the world's busiest airports through this Miami-Dade 250 initiative, and you could compete for prizes from American Airlines.

AI for Artists Workshop
This 1-hour virtual session introduces foundational AI concepts in a clear, accessible format designed for nonprofit professionals and practicing artists. Arts at Play: Where Arts and Sport Meet on Miami-Dade County's Global Stage
Arts at Play continues throughout the summer with a dynamic lineup of performances, exhibitions, fitness activations, and community-driven events across Miami-Dade County. Presented by the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs and supported by a $30,000 grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Arts at Play: Where Arts and Sport Meet on Miami-Dade County's Global Stage celebrates the connection between creativity, community, and sport as Miami-Dade County prepares to welcome the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
Since launching earlier this summer, Arts at Play has brought together residents and visitors through a variety of free, accessible arts experiences. The series concludes with Freedom Family Day at the Freedom Tower on Sunday, July 12, offering one more opportunity to celebrate the unifying spirit of sport, creativity, and community on Miami-Dade County's global stage.
